Book A Trip

Full day Float (8 hours of fishing)
Half Day (4 hours of fishing) Float

No Half day Steelhead or Salmon trips.
3rd angler may be added. Call for details.
8 hours of fishing; All equipment included (fly rods, reels, line, flies, etc.)

All trips include gear and terminal tackle needed for your day of fishing. All flies are included in the trip price, NO SURPRISE FLY COUNTS. Some guided services hit you with a penalty for the flies that you used or lost during the trip. We don’t do that here.

A hot grilled lunch is provided for each angler, on Full day floats. Snacks, water, and soft beverages will be provided on all half and full day trips. Your guide will contact you prior to the trip to inquire any food preferences or food allergies.

The only things not included in the trip price are a MI fishing license and guide gratuity. Michigan fishing licenses can be purchased from a license dealer or purchased online at www.mdnr-elicense.com.

Guide gratuity is typically 15-25% or the trip price. Gratuity is appreciated for a good experience on the water. This gratuity is not necessarily for a bundle of fish caught, but rather for a great effort by your guide. Learning a new tactic, chasing a new species, or an overall safe and fun day on the water are all reasons for a gratuity.

What to bring:
  • Waders
  • Rain Jacket
  • Ball Cap or other hat
  • Polarized sunglasses
  • Camera: you may bring your own, although I do carry a camera to capture photos of your day of fishing. Any photos of your day on the water will be provided via email.
  • Extra Layers: Dress in layers appropriate to expected weather. It is always best to be ready for weather 10degrees colder than expected.

Cold Weather Expected?

Much of our great fishing in Michigan is done when the weather can be not so pleasant. This isn’t a guarantee that your Fall, Winter, or Spring fishing will be cold and miserable. Although, Fall days may be cold and Spring can be rainy and cool.

If cold weather is expected hand warmers and other cold weather amenities will be available to you in the boat.

Gloves: Please bring a few pairs of quality gloves. Since we are fishing a river, gloves often get wet. Bringing extra gloves gives you the luxury of having dry, warm gloves.

A security deposit of $100 will be taken upon booking your trip.

We have a 14 day cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your trip outside of 14 days your security deposit will be refunded. If you cancel within 14 days the deposit will be forfeited. Security deposits are transferable if you choose to reschedule your trip. If your guide chooses to cancel the trip due to water conditions or because of a safety issue, your deposit will be refunded or transferable.

Deposits can be paid by check or paypal.

The remaining balance can be paid on the day of your trip, by cash or check.

Catch and Release

River Ninja Outfitters is a fly fishing only guide service that strictly practices catch and release. We practice catch and release to conserve our beautiful resource. These fish are one of our purest natural resources. Releasing fish to the water, as soon as possible, after a quick picture keeps fish in great shape to swim away unharmed.

A day on the water is a most enjoyable relaxing experience. Fly fishing is a chance to connect to nature and enjoy our natural resources. Learning a new skill like fly fishing can be soothing and healing to the soul. Many of my clients look forward to their fly fishing adventure the entire year. Fly fishing is a great activity to reunite friends or solidify a family bond. Many clients have shared memories that last a lifetime in my boat. It is special when a father shares a memory of their child’s first fish. Seeing a spouse enjoy the outdoors for the first time, can be a lifelong memory.
